The SCAR-H has standard non-bullpup spreads of 0.2 aiming down sights in any stance moving and aiming down sights in any stance. Oh my god why are we still bothering with bullet velocity blahblahblah 410 meters per second, max range of 615 meters, 15m/s² bullet drop. Its recoil is 0.2 in both directions, meaning your recoil will be mostly vertical, which is very easy to control. It has a vertical kick of 0.5, but thankfully it has a low first-shot multiplier of 1.6x. The SCAR-H’s recoil seems quite heavy at first, but in reality it’s quite easy to control. You can win close quarters gunfights with this gun, but it’s no AEK-971 or FAMAS.
While the SCAR-H does have a low rate of fire at only 620 rounds per minute, what would be a crippling disadvantage for any other assault rifle isn’t that much of an issue on the SCAR-H given its 3-4 shot kill.
This is helpful given the SCAR-H’s small magazine size of only 20 bullets plus one in the chamber, so remember to keep your mag topped off before you encounter your enemy. The SCAR-H has one of the fastest reload times among assault rifles at 1.9 seconds for a tactical reload and 2.4 seconds for a long reload. This makes the SCAR-H one of the best long range weapons in the game, despite its other shortcomings. Its damage dropoff starts at 8 meters and ends at 55 meters.
It has higher damage than all the other assault rifles, with 34 damage up close and 25 at a distance, making this gun a 3-4 shot kill against a target with full health. In Battlefield 4 the SCAR-H is classified as an Assault Rifle, making it exclusive to the Assault class. The SCAR platform was designed for special operations for the US military as well as being a potential replacement for the M4. We hope to see you back on the Battlefield. The FN SCAR-H is the 7.62x51mm NATO-firing variant of the SCAR platform.
